HUNDREDS of homes and businesses in the South Side of Glasgow have been plunged into darkness after a power cut.
It’s believed a digger may have cut through a power line in the Battlefield and Langside areas this afternoon.
Scottish Power said: “We are aware of a power cut in the G42 and G44 postcode areas in Glasgow. Our engineers are working to restore supplies, and we are sorry for the inconvenience.”
The company added on Twitter: “Apologies for the unplanned fault in Glasgow. Engineers are investigating the cause of this on site. We have managed to restore power to a number of properties already and will remain on site until all supply is back on.”
