THE parents of Alesha Macphail have asked mourners to honour the little girl by wearing pink when she is laid to rest next weekend.
The service will take place on Saturday, July 21 at MacGregor Family Funeral Directors in Coatbridge.
Following this, Alesha, from Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, will be taken to her final resting place in Coltswood Cemetery.
Genie Lochrane and Rab MacPhail's six-year-old daughter was killed earlier this month while on holiday on the Isle of Bute as she was visiting her dad.
In a statement, the funeral directors, said: "Alesha's family would welcome and be comforted by the attendance of anyone affected by this tragedy who wish to pay their final respects.
"We ask that the community show their support and help the family through this tragedy and through this very difficult day in their lives.
"Mum and Dad have requested that everyone wears something pink.
"Now in the arms of the Angels."
A 16-year-old boy has been remanded in custody after making his second appearance at Greenock Sheriff Court, on Friday, charged with the rape and murder of the six year-old.
He made no plea to the charges and was fully committed for trial.
