A PAIR of adventurous junior doctors have ended their epic fundraising cycle from Vietnam to Glasgow after celebrating getting engaged on the trip.
Iona Campbell, from East Kilbride and Mathew King, from Kent, arrived at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children after leaving Ho Chi Min city in February.
In just five months, Iona and Matt have travelled across Asia and Europe almost entirely on pedal power.
As well as racking up 16,000km, the couple has racked up over £6,900 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
Iona said: “During our two years as junior doctors we have both seen the massively beneficial effects that this charity has on the young lives of those unlucky enough to be afflicted with illness early on in their lives."
On this trip of a lifetime, thecouple also became engaged with a special proposal in Laos.
