The club posted CCTV images on its Facebook page of the moment its shed went up in flames, along with images of the aftermath.
The club said in a statement hours after the fire: “After such a great day at the Selvey memorial trophy, we woke up to this in the morning. The hut and all its contents have been destroyed, mats, jacks, rink markers, bowls, mower and a great deal more.
“The astroturf on one bank melted due to the intense heat.
“The committee is deeply, deeply upset about this and will try to get the club operational as soon as is humanly possible.
“The clubhouse itself appears unharmed, but all our facilities for setting out the green, mats and jacks are gone.”

In an online appeal for information, Police Scotland said: “At around 12.50am on Sunday, July 15, the shed at Woodlands Bowling Club was broken into and set on fire, causing substantial damage to it and part of the club building.
“Please contact Police Scotland on 101 with any information as to who is responsible.”
