WANNABE reality stars have been contacted by a prankster claiming to be from the hit Glasgow series Glow.
Production firm GRTV, who are behind the internet-based series, warned budding stars that they have not called anyone about a role in the series, which was the city's answer to The Only Way is Essex.
In a statement on social media GRTV said: "We are getting reports of people receiving calls from Glow.
"We are not calling anyone in regards to Glow the Glasgow series.
"Our primary means of contact is e-mail so if you don't receive an e-mail first, it ain't us."
One woman said: "I had the same call twice today."
The first two seasons of the reality show aired via a dedicated website and app. The show featured a whole host of Glasgow faces including West End hairdresser Lauren McDonald and comedian James English, above.
Last year, Glow said that they were planning to film a third season with a whole host of new faces which would be headhunted.
The Evening Times made attempts to contact GRTV and it is not known if they reported the issue to police.
