THE Vamps told me they are in awe of Paolo Nutini and, exclusively revealed they’d love to do a song with him.
The Can We Dance hitmakers were in Glasgow and Edinburgh’s HMV this week to sign copies of their album Night and Day (Day Edition), which sees them go up against Drake and Rick Astley in the album charts.
They said they are fans of both, by the way!
They were surrounded by screaming fans on their flying visit but promised to come back soon on their next tour.
In their dressing room, singer Bradley Simpson spoke fondly of his Scottish fans and admitted his favourite Scot was Paolo Nutini, while bandmate Tristan Evans opted for Andy Murray.
Bradley said: “I’ve walked past Paolo and he’s like an idol. I love him.
“I saw him when we played the Radio 1 Big Weekend here in Glasgow and he headlined and closed the show and it was amazing to watch him. There’s no need to even think about doing a collaboration with him.
“We’re doing it if he’s up for it. Who knows what we’d sing. Just to be in a room with him would be cool.”
The lads, including Connor Ball, who is Scottish and from Aberdeen, were in good spirits despite being tired out traipsing around the country to publicise the Day version of their album.
They said they are all due a long holiday after this.
