Specialist officers swarmed a house in Drumoyne after a suspicious package was found.
The package was found at an address on Shieldhall Road around 10.40am sparking an evacuation.
The street has been placed on lock down and sealed off from the junction at Cromdale Street and Finsbay Street to Mallaig Road.

Bomb disposal teams were sent to the scene and have carried out a controlled explosion.
Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue and bomb squads still remain on the scene.
There are no injuries as a result of the incident.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "The EOD are in attendance at a house on Shieldhall Road.
"A controlled explosion was carried out and the street remains closed to traffic and pedestrians."
