TRAVELLERS flying with Ryanair are facing misery as a pilot strike has led to 4,000 flights being cancelled.
Customers travelling between the Republic of Ireland and the UK have been faced with cancellations.
The strike is the second of three involving Ireland-based pilots employed by Ryanair in a dispute over pay and conditions.
Ryanair customers flying on the 8.40am flight from Glasgow to Dublin were left grounded due to the action.
Ryanair calls on FORSA to call off 24 July strike by less than 25% of our Irish pilots (over seniority & base transfer proposals which they can't explain and which don't even affect them): pic.twitter.com/OVse5kmgMi

Cabin crew for the airline will go on strike on July 25 and 26 in a move which is expect to disrupt thousands of passengers.
Up to 600 flights have been cancelled over what it calls “unjustified” action.
The Irish Air Line Pilots' Association (IALPA) said there had been 'no material change' to the situation following talks on Wednesday.
In a statement issued last week, IALPA said it saw 'no evidence whatsoever' that Ryanair wants to engage in meaningful negotiations.
Ryanair have insisted that anyone affected by next week's strikes has been notified through SMS.
