THE family of a man from Glasgow's south side are becoming worried for his welfare after he disappeared with a suitcase.
Joseph McLay was last seen around midnight on Monday July 16 at his home address on Keppel Drive.
His family reported him missing on Saturday July 21 after they had not heard from him.
The 39-year-old is described as white, around 5ft 6 of heavy build with short brown hair and a full beard.
At the time of his disappearance, he is believed to have had a black suitcase, which has a violet ribbon tied to it, and a black Adidas rucksack with him.
Sergeant Jordan Dickson, Cathcart Police Office, said: “As time passes Joseph’s family and friends are becomingly increasingly worried for him and just want to know he is safe and well.
“Officers have been checking CCTV, speaking to his family and friends as well as checking pubs in Glasgow, in particular the south side of the city, which he frequents to try and trace him.
“Joseph knows Glasgow well, and also spent some time in Liverpool, although we have no reason to believe he has travelled far.
“We would as anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts to come forward and contact us. We would also urge Joseph himself to let his family know he is okay.
"Anyone with information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 2052 of Saturday 21 July 2018."
