A CASTLEMILK man going through "personal issues" has sparked a massive manhunt after he vanished from a Cambuslang industrial estate.

Robert Faulkner was last seen around 6.30am on Monday leaving Cambuslang Invesment Park in a grey Ford Focus with the registration YX61 OMD.

Robert, who resides in Castlemilk, is described as being 5ft 9, of medium build, with short fair hair, blue eyes and is clean shaven.

When last seen the 53-year-old was wearing sandy coloured boots, blue cargo style trousers, a black and cream t-shirt and a hi-visibility jacket.

Police believe Robert, who requires daily medication, may have travelled towards Cairngorm National Park.

Sergeant Jordan Dickson, Cathcart Police Office, said: “As time passes, we are growing increasingly concerned for Robert who has been going through some personal issues recently. He requires daily medication and has never went missing before.

“We know he has his car for transport and therefore could have travelled far and have reason to believe he could have travelled north into the Cairngorm National Park or the surrounding area.

“We would appeal to anyone who has seen this vehicle, or knows of his whereabouts to come forward and contact us. We would also appeal to Robert himself to come forward and let everyone know he is okay.”

Anyone with information should contact Cathcart Police Office via 101, quoting incident number 4288.
