A BIKER was airlifted to hospital following a serious crash on Monday.
Police have now appealed for information following the road accident, which happened in the Dreghorn area of Ayrshire at around 11.45am.
The 47-year-old male victim was riding his silver Yamaha motorbike east along the B7080, Long Drive, when a collision occurred, resulting in his serious injury.
Emergency services attended and the man was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as stable.
Sergeant Cat Gibbons, from the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Irvine, said: “I would appeal to anyone who was on the B7080 around the time of the incident, and may have witnessed what happened, to please get in touch.
“In particular I would like to speak to the driver of a burgundy Audi believed to be on the road at the time as well as any motorists with dashcams who may have captured footage of the incident.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Irvine via 101, quoting incident number 1555 of Monday, July 23 July.”
