THERE has been much talk about the young partnership at the heart of the Celtic defence, and I am aware that the Rosenborg goal on Wednesday night came from Jack Hendry giving the ball away.
For me though, there was a lot to be positive about in terms of how Hendry and Kris Ajer coped on the night, and I thought they did really well as the game progressed.
Rosenborg’s goal was actually really well-worked, because the interception of Hendry’s pass came on the half-way line, and I thought the pair of them rallied well after that.

Ajer did exceptionally well. And as the team improved, so too did Hendry, and they finished the match looking really strong.
Nicklas Bendtner is a vastly experienced forward and he would be a handful for most defences. He caused them difficulties early on, but over the piece, I thought they did well.
