RANGERS will consider their options before deciding whether to launch a second bid for Hearts striker Kyle Lafferty.
The Light Blues made their move to bring Lafferty back to Ibrox on Friday morning but saw an offer of £200,000 rejected by the Jambos board.
Rangers have already completed ten deals this summer as boss Steven Gerrard has overhauled his Ibrox squad.
Gerrard confirmed his interest in Manchester City defender Kean Bryan following the 1-0 Europa League win over NK Osijek on Thursday night.
But SportTimes understands the deal collapsed on Friday and he won’t be making a move to Ibrox.
Gerrard clinched a deal for Roma forward Umar Sadiq earlier this month as he agreed a season-long loan switch but he wasn’t part of the squad for the trip to Croatia as he looks to get up to speed ahead of the new Premiership campaign.
Gerrard remains in the market for another striker and former Ger Lafferty could prove to be the final piece of the jigsaw this term as he looks to complete his Ibrox rebuild.
Hearts value the 31-year-old significantly higher than Rangers' initial six-figure bid but their negotiating position is weakened by the fact that Lafferty is now in the final 12 months of his contract.
The Northern Irishman scored 19 times for Craig Levein's side last term and Rangers are keen to strike a deal to bring him back to Ibrox six years after he left to join Swiss side Sion.
