A YOUNG singer from Lanarkshire will share a stage with Roxy Music legend Bryan Ferry tonight at a Glasgow music festival.
Stephanie Cheape, who was named Scotland’s best unsigned act, landed a support slot at the Summer Nights Festival at Kelvingrove Bandstand with her band; Don Wilson, Garry Aird and Johnny Queen.
Stephanie started writing when she was just 16, performing for the first time at a sold-out open mic night just a year later and lists her influences as Skunk Anansi, The Specials, Billy Bragg and Lily Allen.
The Pretenders opened the 10-date festival last night, which is running until August 9 and is now in its fifth year.
Van Morrison, First Aid Kit, Fleet Foxes, James Grant and Jimmy Cliffe are also due to perform.
