WOMEN in Glasgow affected by breast cancer are being offered help to adjust to life after treatment ends.
Breast Cancer Care is running a four-week course at the New Victoria Hospital in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
The course will include talks from psychologists with advice on how to cope with the fear of recurrence.
Linsey Valiente, Services Development Co-ordinator at Breast Cancer Care said: “There are an estimated 691,000 people alive after a diagnosis of breast cancer today in the UK. The need for support doesn’t end when treatment finishes. In fact, it is often the time people need us the most.”
The course, which starts on September 7 is free but participants must register in advance by calling Breast Cancer Care on 0345 077 1893 or email movingforward@breastcancercare.org.uk
