THE public is being urged to help trace a teenager who has been missing since Monday.
Charlie Carter, 14, from Greenock, was last seen at Paisley Gilmour Street train station at around 7.45pm.
She is described as white, 5ft4 in height, of slim build, with wavy fair hair, blue eyes and a nose piercing.
When last seen, she was wearing a black jacket with a fur hood, a mustard crop top, blue jeans and white trainers.
Sergeant Laura Stewart, at Greenock Police Office, said: “Charlie family is increasingly concerned the more time passes without hearing from her.
“She has went missing before and is known to frequent ‘The Four Corners’ in Glasgow City Centre, Mosspark on the South Side of Glasgow, and Port Glasgow.
“We are liaising with colleagues in Glasgow and British Transport Police in an effort to trace her as well as checking CCTV.
“We have reason to believe she may have been travelling to Glasgow.
“Officers have been searching the local area and spoken with friends but, so far, no-one has seen or heard from her.
“I would also ask Charlie to get in touch with police or her family as soon as possible. They are very worried and want her home.”
Anyone with information on Charlie’s whereabouts is asked to contact Greenock Police Office on 101, quoting incident number 3450 of Monday, July 30 2018.
