A police watchdog is investigating the death of a man who was being held in police custody.
The 35-year-old, who has been named as James McMillan from Kirkintilloch, died at Stewart Street police station.
The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC) is looking into the incident which took place on May 30 this year.
The matter was referred to the PIRC by the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) and a report is expected to be submitted in due course.
Speaking to The Scottish Sun, Mr McMillan's sister said the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
She added: "I’m never going to get my wee brother back but I want to know the truth of what’s happened.
“It’s not just me, my mum has lost her boy and a wee girl is without a dad.”
