A search has been launched for a young man who has gone missing from Johnstone.
David McSorley disappeared from his home Peockland Gardens on Wednesday August 1 and was last seen getting into his white Vauxhall Corsa - PK67 HPJ - at Johnstone Railways Station at 10.40am on Wednesday morning.
The 22-year-old is described as white, 5 ft 10 in height, of slim build, with short brown hair, brown eyes and is clean shaven.
When last seen he was wearing a thin blue jacket, white shirt, grey trousers, black shoes and was carrying a rucksack.
He is known to have money and his mobile with him.
Sergeant Kevin McGee, Renfrew Police Office, said: “David has never been missing before, however, recently he has had some personal issues that his family believe may be the reason he has left home.
“Officers have been speaking to family and friends and checking CCTV in the city but so far there have been no further sightings of him.
“I would ask David to come home and be with his family or to get in touch with police to let us know he is ok.
“If you have any knowledge of where David is or any information that will assist officers in finding him, then please contact Renfrew Police Office via 101 quoting reference number 3865/01/08.”
