RUSH-hour commuters are facing tailbacks of FIVE miles on the M8 tonight.
The chaos comes just a day after all of the major motorways in and out of the city came to a standstill on in a situation that was labelled “a complete disaster.”

Traffic Scotland posted an image of the massive queues on its Twitter page at 7.10pm tonight.

One Twitter user warned followers: “Five-mile tailback from Provan southbound.”
Travel presenter and radio host Amber Zoe said: “Looks like it’s crawling for 20 minutes.”

The M77 northbound, from junction 4 to 1 is also seeing major delays.

A bus has also broken down on the hard shoulder of the M80 at junction 6. Several pedestrians are awaiting recovery and drivers are being advised to take care on approach.
