The moment a fountain of water erupted into the sky as a water main burst in Paisley was caught on camera by a local resident this morning.
Lauren Mulvey, told the Evening Times that the sound of the main bursting on Wallace Street at the back of Old Sneddon Street was like 'thunder'.
At 4am this morning the pipe allegedly burst causing the full road to explode with water.
In the video, water can be seen spraying high above the surrounding houses as onlookers watch in disbelief.
A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: "A burst water main at Wallace Street, Paisley may be causing some customers to experience disruption to their supply.
"A squad are being organised and will be onsite shortly to commence with the emergency repairs.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing customers and will provide a further update as soon as more information becomes available."
According to Lauren, the water supply in the area had been off for some time and water was still flooding out on to the street at 7am this morning.
And those heading for some sun have also been affected by the burst main as Glasgow Airport was within the surrounding area affected by the incident and has since been experiencing disruptions.
