ALLAN MCGREGOR The keeper has made a huge difference already this season and he deserved another clean sheet after a commanding performance. Had few saves to make but then couldn’t keep out Anderson’s late leveller. 7
JAMES TAVERNIER Kept his composure after a long wait as he slotted home from the spot to give Rangers the lead. Should have done better in the build-up to the Dons equaliser, though. 7
CONNOR GOLDSON Looks like the defender that Rangers have been needing for some time and produced another commanding display. Strong in the tackle and a real presence in the air. 8
NIKOLA KATIC The Croatian is still very much a raw talent but is growing all the time alongside Goldson. Produced an assured performance against the physical Aberdeen attack. 7
JON FLANAGAN The left-back is a solid if unspectacular operator and he stuck to his task at Pittodrie. Didn’t get forward often but coped well with the threat of McGinn. 7
LASSANA COULIBALY The Malian has quickly endeared himself to the Gers support with his committed, combative displays and he caught the eye here again. Provided energy in midfield and was on hand to stop Aberdeen in their tracks or cover space. 7
SCOTT ARFIELD Gerrard has backed the midfielder to have a big part to play for Rangers this season. Showed his class on the ball and covered a lot of ground in an impressive showing in the middle of the park. 7
RYAN JACK Given a now routinely hostile reception from the Pittodrie crowd but produced a terrific showing in the middle of the park. Once again, the star man for Rangers. 8
JOSH WINDASS Perhaps a surprise selection but it was a show of faith from Gerrard. Can’t be faulted for effort but could have shown more quality in the final third at times. 7
JAMIE MURPHY Back in the side as he replaced Ryan Kent on the left and should have scored early on. His role switched after the red card to Morelos and he did what was required with a hard-working display up front. 7
ALFREDO MORELOS Looked sharp in the opening minutes but afternoon was brought to a premature end by referee Kevin Clancy. Didn’t deserve a red card for incident with McKenna and was rightly bemused at the shocking decision. 1
Substitutes:
RYAN KENT (for Murphy) Showed some nice touches in the wide areas. Plenty more to come from the Liverpool kid. 2
OVIE EJARIA (for Jack) Had few opportunities to show what he could do in an attacking sense. 2
