POLICE are investigating the death of a baby girl who passed away at a Glasgow hospital.
The six-month old was found unwell at her Castlemilk home before she was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Monday.
Detectives are now treating the death as unexplained.
The force confirmed that the tot was found ill at a property in the Castlemilk of the city.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Enquiries are continuing following the death of a six-month-old baby girl at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after she was found unwell in her home in Castlemilk on Monday, August 6.
“A Post Mortem will take place in due course however at this time, the death is being treated as unexplained.
"A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
