RANGERS have rejected a bid for captain James Tavernier from West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies made their move to land Tavernier on Wednesday afternoon as boss Darren Moore looks to bolster his squad ahead of the transfer deadline tomorrow.
But SportTimes understand the offer falls well short of Rangers' valuation of the right-back and has been turned down.
Tavernier was made captain by new Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard ahead of the new campaign and West Brom will have to significantly increase their bid if the Gers are to sell one of their key assets.
