A search has been launched for a woman who disappeared from hospital.
Deborah Christie was last seen in Ayr Hospital around 10.20am on Wednesday August 8.
The 55-year-old is described as being around 5ft 4, of slim build with brown collar length hair.
She walks with a walking stick and when last seen was wearing a cardigan, pink T-shirt and light grey trousers.
Chief Inspector Gary I’Anson, Ayr police Office, said: “Deborah has been dealing with some personal issues lately and therefore we are growing increasingly concerned for her as time passes.
“She has been known to sleep rough in the past, particularly in wooded areas and golf courses and we encourage golfers, dog walkers and cyclists to be vigilant for someone who looks as though they could be living outdoors.
“Officers have been checking CCTV as well as speaking to those in the local area in efforts to trace her.
“We are urging anyone who knows of Deborah’s whereabouts or has seen someone matching her description to come forward and contact us.
“Deborah, we also ask that you let us know you are okay.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 1397 of Wednesday 8 August 2018."
He added: "If anyone has dash-cam footage in and around Ayr Hospital between 10am and 11am yesterday morning we would urge you to come forward, you may be able to help."
