Hearts made plans to pay tribute to Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison as his family head to Tynecastle for today's clash agianst Celtic.

Around 20 minutes before kick-off, the stadium heard the Frightened Rabbits rendition of the Hearts song to honour the singer who passed away earlier this year.

In a tweet the team wrote: "We're delighted to be joined by members of the late Scott Hutchison's family at Tynecastle this afternoon. We'll be playing Frightened Rabbit's version of the Hearts song in his honour roughly 20 minutes before kick-off.

The band recorded a new version of The Hearts Song last year to pay hommage to the stadium’s old Main Stand.

The Evening Times reported last month on the band recording music for the first time since the lead singer's death.

The group returned to the recording studio for the Edinburgh Fringe play Square Go's soundtrack.

Scott's body was discovered near South Queensferry the day after the 36-year-old was reported missing from Glasgow

His death prompted an outpouring of grief and discussion on mental health from the world of music and beyond.
