Apassenger plane appears to have flown straight into a rainbow.
The jumbo jet breaks through the cloud and into the arc, which produces a kaleidoscope of colour.
The moment was captured by photographer Tanay Das, shortly after the Indian Airlines flight took off from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, India.
He said: "In India, rainbows are not so common since the sun is not always shining, and even if there is a rainbow it is really tough to frame a plane inside it.
"This time it was perfectly placed along with the plane and the intensity of rainbow was also perfect.
"I wanted something unique in my collection and this is something really rare."
Flying through, or above a rainbow, isn’t possible because it is optical trick caused by light reflected and refracted in water droplets - but the effect these images create are stunning.
