COPS have launched a major search for a man who has been diagnosed with dementia.
John Love, 69, was last seen leaving his home address in Victoria Gardens, Airdrie at around 9.30am this morning, heading towards West Kirk Street.
John has been diagnosed with dementia and his family are extremely worried about his welfare.
He is described as 5ft 8 inches, of medium build and balding. He was last seen wearing a grey polo shirt with thin grey stripes, blue jeans and white Adidas trainers.
Sergeant Mark Chivers, from Coatbridge Police Station, said: “This is completely out of character for John and it is vital that we find him and confirm that he is ok.
“I am appealing to local residents in the Airdrie, Chapelhall and Coatbridge areas to keep a look out for John and report any sightings to police. I would also ask people to check their gardens and any outbuildings in case he has sought shelter there.
“Anyone with information regarding John’s whereabouts is asked to contact Coatbridge Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0981 of Monday 13 August 2018.”
