COPS are trying to establish a motive for an attack on a teenager in Glasgow city centre.
The 17-year-old was with friends in Clyde Street, near the George V Bridge, when two men approached him and assaulted him.
The attack happened at around 7.20pm on Friday.
Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He has since been released following treatment.
The two suspects are both Asian, between 16 and 20 years old with slim builds. One was wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt top. The other man was wearing a green puffa jacket, trimmed with fur. Following the incident, the two suspects fled across the George V Bridge towards the Govan area.
Officers will continue to review CCTV footage from the area for any additional information.
Detective Constable Vhairi MacDonald said: “We are still trying to ascertain why these two men targeted the 17-year-old. There were several people around and a cyclist and motorist stopped to offer assistance. I am appealing to the people who were there to contact us as they could hold valuable information which could assist our investigation. “
