O'NEILL'S pub chain has put in a planning application for a new site in Glasgow City Centre.
The nationwide Irish brand is currently in Merchant Square but is now looking to open at 48 Union Street.
The new plot is site of The Royal Scot bar and both pubs are owned by Mitchell and Butlers.
O'Neills has previously traded from premises on both Sauchiehall Street and Queen Street.
Planning documents received on August 8 indicate planned changes to the external signage, showing O'Neill's branding, replacing the current Royal Scot sign.
Glasgow City Council planning bosses will assess the application.
