Craig Gordon
He was rooted to the spot at both goals but got off his line quickly enough to mop up when needed. It was hardly the goalie’s fault but he could do with making a really good save quite soon. 6
Mikael Lustig
Just maybe the years and injuries, plus the amount of matches he’s played, are taking a terrible toll. A full-back’s job is to stop crosses and he let one in for the opener. Gave away the free-kick and didn’t mark properly at the second. What more can be said? 3
Jack Hendry
Okay, he wasn’t brilliant, but this is an inexperienced player – who was at Dundee in January – and in all honesty this is too big a step-up. He was outjumped for the second. The truth is he is not yet good enough for this level and perhaps it was unfair to put him in this environment. 4
Jozo Simunovic
There was a sigh of relief a year ago when he didn’t move to Roma. What has happened to him since? He had a nightmare, again, and it’s hard to see where he goes from here. Oddly, he came close to a crucial goal in the final moments 3
Kieran Tierney
Played more like a winger and yet it was he who tried to block the first goal because nobody else was doing it. Gave his all in what eventually was a lost cause. His cross led to the goal. His team's best player. Again. 7.5
Had an okay game overall, nothing more, and was right to wonder why Marko Livija wasn’t sent off for grabbing him after a foul. Had one shot which was miles over. That kind night. 6
Olivier Ntcham
That he is a player is not in doubt but he couldn’t find a final pass, which wasn’t always one it has to be said. Had a decent effort with a free-kick but the Frenchman needs to do more. His shooting from distance was dreadful. 5
James Forrest
He did well enough. Got crosses in, hardly gave away the ball and got back to help out defence. Forrest is good enough at this level but got little assistance. 6
Tom Rogic
Good shot on the turn after 11 minutes and great goalkeeper prevented him scoring a header. Flitted in and out of the game but looked the part when on the ball. Saw a header brilliantly saved. 6
Callum McGregor
Like Tierney, he didn't deserve to lose. A cross almost led to a Griffiths’s goal in the first-half. He asked questions of AEK all night but a superb low cross missed by everyone rather summed things up.7
Leigh Griffiths
Lively and eager, as you would expect, and went close in the first-half with a snap-shot. His deliver from corners was good and at least he looked fit if a little rusty. 6
Substitutes:
Could have scored with his first touch and brought something to the party. Brendan Rodgers must pray for his striker’s hamstring. 6
Scott Sinclair
His goal gave every Celtic fans some hope. 6
