A SUSPECTED drink-driver has been banned from the roads after failing to give a breath test.
Mark Wright, 28, was taken to Govan police station after an accident at the Clyde Tunnel, where thereafter he failed to provide two specimens of breath to ascertain his ability to drive or the proportion of alcohol in his system.
The incident happened on April 14, 2017.
Wright's lawyer stated: "He knows he's going to be disqualified."
It was claimed that the accused was no longer a cannabis user and had not been involved in any other road traffic offences.
Sheriff Lindsay Wood aired his suspicions over Wright's inability to provide a specimen of breath.
He said: "A cynic might think you had something to hide."
Wright, of Dumbreck Court, was disqualified from driving for 17 months and had his licence endorsed.
He was also placed on a Community Payback Order and handed 90 hours of unpaid work to be completed within four months.
