PARENTS who have lost a child will come together on Saturday to release butterflies in commemoration of their children.
Organised by charity SiMBA, the Butterfly Release is the third to be held in Provan Hall House and hosted by charity campaigner Lisa Hague.
Lisa, the partner of former Celtic ace Kris Commons, endured the stillbirth of daughter Lola in 2008.
Councillor Marie Garrity and Dr Gillian Smith will do readings for the 184 adults and 62 children taking part.
SiMBA supports families to gather memories of the short time their baby was here, and the SiMBA Annual Butterfly Releases form a key part of that support.
This year there will be eight butterfly releases in Caithness, Oban, Inverness, Stornoway, Glasgow, Galashiels, Ayrshire and Edinburgh.
Guests should arrive for 12.15pm. There will be a short service with beautiful music and poems before the butterflies are released followed by time for reflection and refreshments.
There is a suggested donation of £15 but if anyone has concerns over this donation amount then call the SiMBA office on 0131 353 0055.

They cannot be purchased on the day.
