EX-One Show presenter Hardeep Singh Kohli has been announced as Celebrity Big Brother's mystery housemate.
He has had to cancel a number of Edinburgh Fringe appearances after Channel 5 bosses failed to snare him until the last minute.
The 49-year-old comedian is London-born but came to Glasgow at the age of four and is the brother of Sanjeev.
While studying law in the city, he also worked at the Citizen’s Theatre and earned extra cash working in a vegetarian restaurant, before graduating in 1990.
He wrote, directed and starred in Channel 4’s Meet the Magoons in 2004.
And in September 2006, Kohli took part in the first series of BBC One’s Celebrity MasterChef, reaching the final along with Roger Black.
Hardeep is known for one of the worst radio interviews in history.
In 2008 he appeared on Les Ross’s Radio WM show to talk about his new book Indian Takeaway but was asked bizarre questions before cutting off the chat.
He was suspended by the BBC in 2009 for six months amidst allegations of sexual harassment of a researcher and his contract was never renewed.
Hardeep later branded the BBC “institutionally racist”.
