A CAR being followed by police crashed with another vehicle before a driver fled from the scene.
A woman is now in hospital following the incident on Mingulay Street, in Milton, and is being kept in for treatment.
The crash happened around 3pm today as the car was being followed by officers after failing to stop for a police signal.
There was not a pursuit at the time of the crash; police did not have blue lights or siren on.
The first car, driven by a man, collided with a second vehicle, which was being driven by a woman with two female passengers.
The male driver ran off.
Both passengers were uninjured but the woman was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Medical staff describe her condition as stable.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Enquiries are continuing in to the incident and to trace the male driver of the second who made off from the scene on police arrival."
