NEW homes could be built on the site of a bowling club in Glasgow's South Side if city planners give the project the green light.
Glasgow-based property development company Noah want to build 10 homes on the surplus bowling green at Cathcart Bowling Club.
Under the plans, which were submitted to Glasgow City Council this week, two terraced house blocks could be built with five homes within each block.

A planning statement said: "The proposed family housing (three bedrooms) must be sensitively placed and co exist successfully with the bowling clubhouse and remaining adjacent bowling green.
"Cathcart Bowling Club has served the community for many years but in recent times dwindling numbers and declining interest in the core activities of the club have led to a lack of necessary investment in the facilities.
"The lack of demand has resulted in one of the bowling greens being unused, and the adjoining open space also becoming unused and overgrown.
"The club have decided to release the surplus bowling green and adjacent unused ground for development and reinvest the capital receipt into improving the clubhouse and grounds and widening its scope of activities.
"In this way the club hopes to secure the space as a resource for the community into the foreseeable future."
A decision is expected on the plans on October 15. Last date for comments is September 17.
