Danny Boyle has dropped out of directing the next James Bond film due to "creative differences".
The Trainspotting director was to work on the 25th film in the franchise, with production due to begin in early December.
A statement, posted on the official James Bond Twitter account, revealed that he has quit.
Producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, and current Bond star Daniel Craig posted the announcement.

Oscar-winning Boyle was set to rejoin Trainspotting write John Hodge, who was to create an original screenplay.
It has not been added whether he will continue to be involved.
The film will be Craig's fifth Bond film after Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre and had previously been given a release date of October 25 2019 in the UK.
