HUGELY-popular Glasgow bar Walkabout is set to reopen after undergoing a half-a-million pound revamp.
The Aussie-themed Renfield Street venue has created 25 new jobs and has also introduced a new cocktail lounge and pool hall, Felson’s, upstairs.
The venue will be hosting a launch party in September where revellers can enjoy live performances from Ultrabeat, Flip and Fill and Keyes, alongside street performers, stilt-walkers and fire breathers.

The venue has billed itself as “an ideal hangout spot,” with two bars, booths, large, state-of-the-art HD screens, top-quality sound system - and even tiered stadium seating for watching all the sporting action.
Kevin Buchanan, senior general manager, said: “We’ve invested hugely in the venue and are incredibly proud to show off the revamped bar and its brilliant night time offering.

“We can’t wait to bring back the art of laid-back Aussie socialising and showcase the best venue in Glasgow in which to enjoy sport. We’re sure we won’t disappoint.
“In a first for Glasgow, we’ll also be introducing a Felson’s Cocktail Lounge and Stick Bar as a brand-new concept. There really isn’t anything else like it in town.”
Walkabout Glasgow reopens on September 3 with the launch party set to take place on September 8.
