A MAJOR investigation has been launched after a teenage girl was raped in Strathclyde Park.
The 16-year-old is understood to have been attacked over the weekend.
The incident occurred in Strathclyde Park
Police sealed off the park around 9pm last night and officers are guarding the area while enquiries are carried out.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "Officers are carrying out enquiries are a 16-year-old female reported being seriously sexually assaulted.
"Enquiries are at an early stage and are continuing today."
