COMMUNITY groups across Glasgow could nab an incredible funding opportunity thanks to the Evening Times.
The Gannett Foundation UK - the charitable arm of our parent company - has begun the 2018 round of charitable grants which aims to give substantial sums of money to worthy causes.
In the last 10 years, the Gannett Foundation has made grants totalling nearly £4million in the UK alone.
Grants start at around a few hundred pounds, but can go as high as £10,000 in special circumstances.
In 2016, the Cumbernauld-based Scottish Centre for Children with Motor Impairments, which provides a specialist education service for children with cerebral palsy, received £3,140 to upgrade a home-from-home area for families.
While, the Saturday Cafe in Carmunnock took home £5,780 to resurface an outdoor playground at a community centre.
To apply, a group must be a registered charity and cannot have received a grant from the foundation within the last two years.
Applications must be submitted on the approved application form by 5pm on October 8.
The form and any supporting documents must be sent electronically to henry.ainslie@newsquest.co.uk.
