COPS are worried a missing man may become unwell because he has not had his medication.
The force has launched a major search for Gavin McPartlan, 44, who has been missing from Dalry in Ayrshire since Monday, August 13.
Sergeant Claire Jack, of Irvine Police Office, said: "We now have a confirmed sighting of Gavin in Woodwynd in Kilwinning around 5pm on Tuesday, August 14."
Gavin, who lives in Peden Avenue, Dalry, is described as white, 6ft in height, of slim build and has short brown hair. When last seen, he was wearing a light blue tracksuit top with a white stripe across the middle, a light blue polo shirt and blue jeans.
Sergeant Jack added: “Gavin requires to take medication and, as far as we are aware, he has not taken any with him. He has been in phone contact on Friday, August 17 but nothing since then.
“Our concern is that due to health issues, he may have become unwell and not able to return home or get help. We have checked with local hospitals and have searched his home, spoken to family and friends but so far no one has seen or heard from him.
“Although he has a bus pass, he tends to stay local. His phone is no longer available when called.
“If you know where Gavin is, or can help officers in tracing him, then please call Irvine Police Station via 101 quoting reference number 2826/16/08/18.
“I would also ask Gavin to get in touch with police so that we know he is well."
