A PENSIONER has head and spinal injuries after being involved in a serious road crash in Glasgow's South Side.
The 85-year-old was in a black Suzuki Splash when it crashed with a black Jaguar XF, which was driven by a 35-year-old.
The road crash happened on Monday at around 1.15pm in the vicinity of the car dealership near the junction of Shields Road and St Andrews Drive. The road was closed for several hours.
The 85-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with head and spinal injuries, where his condition is described by hospital staff as 'serious but stable'. The 35-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to arm injury and later released.
Constable David Nicol is appealing for anyone who was in the area of Shields Road and St Andrews Drive around the time and who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch with Police Scotland via 101 - quoting reference 1667 of 27/8/2018.
