POLICE are appealing for information after a sexual assault on a train travelling between Glasgow Central Station and Newcastle.
The incident, which took place near Berwick-upon-Tweed, occurred on Thursday, August 16 between 6.45pm and 7.45pm, during which a man made inappropriate comments to a group of women, before touching another woman inappropriately.
A 29-year-old man from Newcastle Upon Tyne was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and sexual assault. He was released under police investigation and enquiries continue.
A number of enquiries have been made, but police are appealing for further witnesses and the victims to get in touch.
