RESIDENTS were evacuated after a block of flats were deliberately set on fire.
Police Scotland said they were investigating the blaze which happened in Dumbain Road, Haldane, Alexandria at around 1.27am on Wednesday.
No one was injured but residents had to be evacuated. The force said the fire was within a block of flats.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Early investigations have deemed the fire to be wilful and set deliberately. Enquiries are at a very early stage and CID are investigating the incident. Forensic officers are currently at the scene to establish the full circumstances.
"Anyone with information, is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 0170 of 29/08/2018."
