POLICE Scotland have stormed into a Glasgow property and seized a drugs haul with a street value of around £80,000.
A 56-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.
Acting under warrant, officers searched a property in Langbar Crescent and recovered the quantity, believed to have consisted of heroin, herbal cannabis and amphetamine.
The raid took place at around 8.25pm on Tuesday.
The man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, August 29 2018 and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Inspector Steven Elliott described drugs as “a scourge on our communities” which also “cause families immeasurable harm.”
He added: “I want to reassure people we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to target the criminals involved.
“Drugs are a real concern but, with local people’s continued support and cooperation, we can all make a difference and reduce the threat of such criminality.
“Those who think they can get away with peddling drugs without facing the consequence are wrong.
“We are and we will continue to target anyone involved in drugs and the criminality around such products.”
