CELTIC fans have criticised the Hoops support liaison officer and police for “crushing” supporters as they made their way into Parkhead ahead of the Old Firm game.
Martin Lennon, Labour and Co-Op Councillor for Rutherglen Central and North, lead the criticism on Twitter.
He said it was the “closest thing to a crush I’ve seen in 18 years going to Celtic Park.”
Mr Lennon added: “@CelticFCSLO Absolutely chaotic scenes before kick-off. Blocked from going round LL to my seat. Confronted with these scenes at JS stand

He later added: “@CelticFCSLO @policescotland is there a reason why thousands of supporters were blocked from Celtic Park as the match kicked off?
“Chaotic scenes, no communication and hundreds of people were forced to scramble over a wall to get around the stadium.”
One of Mr Lennon’s followers replied: “Same here. Folk terrified and police losing control. Guy collapsed further up at the turnstiles. Total chaos. They started turning people back at the halfway point while everyone was still coming in behind them.”
