Police were forced to restrain football fans just minutes after Sunday's Old Firm match wrapped up.

Dozens of officers descended on a stand holding Rangers supporters after the game when they allegedly attempted to storm the pitch.

Video footage of the incident shows supporters leaving their seats and running towards the pitch where Celtic players were celebrating their 1-0 win.

It comes after Police Scotland took the decision to hold Rangers fans inside Celtic Park for fifteen minutes following the game.

Policing bosses said the move had been implemented in the past and aimed to ensure both sets of fans will be able to leave the stadium safely.

Only 800 supporters of the Ibrox club were expected to be at Parkhead amid a ticket allocation row between both clubs.

Fans also faced issues entering the stadium with five left requiring medical treatment after issues with 'congestion' outside Parkhead.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said no arrests had been made in or around the stadium.
