DETECTIVES are treating the death of man found in a Shotts street as suspicious.
The man, who has not been identified, was discovered in Suna Path, near Laggan Avenue, just before 2am on Monday.
The Evening Times understands that the area has been cordoned off by cops as they launched their investigation.
The force is working to identify the man and the circumstances leading to his death.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 1.55am on Monday morning the body of a unidentified man was found in Suna Path, near to Laggan Avenue in Shotts.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man and also the circumstances surrounding the death which is being treated as suspicious at this time.”
