Allan McGregor was last night still sweating whether or not he faces retrospective action from SFA compliance officer Clare Whyte.
The Rangers goalkeeper was caught on camera midway through the opening half of Sunday’s game aiming an off the ball kick at Kristoffer Ajer and is now sweating on news regarding what action the governing body will take.
McGregor, in the Scotland squad for the forthcoming games against Belgium and Albania, is expected to be informed later today if there is a sanction put in place following a review of the incident.
The Ibrox stopper came to the attention of the compliance officer last week following Rangers’ 3-3 draw at Fir Park after clashing with Motherwell Peter Hartley but the evidence against him this week is less ambiguous.
Ajer was in some discomfort in the immediate aftermath of the game but recovered to carry on as Celtic won the game 1-0.
