COPS have cordoned off a Glasgow City Centre lane after a woman was sexually assaulted in the early hours of morning.
Two officers and a police van remained at West Regent Lane this morning as they continued their investigation into the sexual assault.
The force said the enquiry was at an early stage and they did not provide an age for the victim.
A force spokeswoman said: "Officers in Glasgow are investigating a report of a sexual assault that took place in the early hours of Tuesday, September 4 within West Regent Lane.
"CCTV has been reviewed and witnesses are being spoken to.
"The enquiry is at an early stage."
The sexual assault is the second to have taken place in the city in days.
We reported yesterday that a woman was sexually assaulted in Kelvingrove Park in the early hours of Sunday morning. The 29-year-old victim had met her attacker earlier in the evening.
The suspect for that attack is described as white, aged 20 to 25 years of age and of medium build with long dark hair. He was wearing a white top under a dark bomber-style jacket.
