COPS have cordoned off a Glasgow City Centre lane for a second time in two days after a woman was sexually assaulted at the weekend.
Officers stood guard at West Regent Lane this morning as they launched a new investigation into a sexual assault.
The force said the enquiry was at an early stage and they did not provide an age for the victim.
This attack took place on Saturday.
It comes after we reported yesterday that a woman was sexually assaulted in the lane in the early hours of Tuesday, September 4.
The Evening Times understands that cops reviewed CCTV footage and established there was no criminality.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "On Tuesday, September 4, police received a report of a sexual assault in West Regent Lane, Glasgow which took place on September 1, 2018.
"Enquiries are at an early stage and ongoing."
We also reported this week that the force launched a separate investigation into the sexual assault of a woman in Kelvingrove Park in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 29-year-old victim had met her attacker earlier in the evening.
The suspect for that attack is described as white, aged 20 to 25 years of age and of medium build with long dark hair. He was wearing a white top under a dark bomber-style jacket.
